Packing Tips
PROPER PACKING TECHNIQUES are vital to a successful move.We would be glad to provide full service packing, however, if you decide to pack all of your items yourself, here are a few tips:
- Use plenty of cushioning at the bottom of every fragile box. Three to four inches is always a good rule of thumb. You can also use towels or pillows.
- Always place dishes and glassware upright, not flat.
- Make sure all glassware, dishes, and fragile items are always individually wrapped in packing paper.
- Never pack aerosols or flammable items.
- Make sure to fill each box all the way to the top with stuffing paper and seal with tape. This will allow the box to not be crushed.
- Label each box with your name and the room it will be delivered to.
